Annex 1 - Code of Practice for Corporate Members of the Network Users' Forum

  1. Corporate Members of the Association agree to commit to developing a sound reputation for the Association and all its members by upholding high standards of professionalism and business ethics.
  2. Corporate Members of the Association agree to commit to the following public "contract of trust" with each other and with any Clients:
  1. To give independent advice and to use all reasonable endeavours to provide a high standard of competence, objectivity and integrity in all dealings with prospective Clients, actual Clients and other Corporate Members.
  2. To advance the understanding and application of Information Technology-related products, their implementation and after-sales support and service, and digital media production (hereinafter "IT products and services"), and grow our market opportunities through sharing of relevant information with prospective and actual Clients and other Corporate Members.
  3. Neither to make false claims regarding statistics, qualifications, knowledge and experience nor to make any other form of misrepresentation.
  4. Neither to make misleading inferences about technological statistics or capabilities nor, through omission of qualifying information, intentionally to allow Clients to make such inferences.
  5. Neither to make unsolicited criticisms of Corporate Members of the Association, their products and services, or financial standing, or other aspects of their business, nor knowingly to make unsolicited approaches to other Members’ Clients to the detriment of those Members, except in the case of widely distributed publicity and marketing materials.
  6. To safeguard the reputation and interests of Corporate Members at all times, and thereby to inspire the confidence of all Clients in investing in IT products and services.
  7. To safeguard the confidentiality of all information concerning Clients, Corporate Members and/or other partners.
  8. Not to enter into any agreement nor carry out any act which could imply or result in liability on the part of other Corporate Members, except in the case of Members whose services may be retained via subcontract in which event the liability of such Members for such services shall be clearly set out in writing.
  9. To actively support the aims and objectives of the Association, to honour all agreements made with Clients and to promptly pay all fees due to other Corporate Members.
