Affiliated Organisations
To affiliate your organisation with the Network User's Forum print out and complete the form below and return it to the address at the bottom.
We hope that other membership associations of all kinds will affiliate to the Forum because established groups can gain significant benefits from network technologies to enhance their communications.
The Forum may help run special events for affiliated associations on request.
Affiliation costs nothing to the association or its members. The association commits to promote the Network Users’ Forum to its members, and if it is successful in this – by attracting 50 or more of its members to join the Forum - then the Forum will provide bespoke online services to the association’s members (see our email discussion list for Sheffield Business Club, for example)
Affiliated organisations currently include:
- Sheffield Business Club
- Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- SINTO 2000 (South Yorkshire Libraries Association)
- Association of Sheffield Community Language Schools

The Network Users' Forum ("the Forum") works in partnership with membership or subscription-based associations of businesses, community and education groups. The Forum's aims in these partnerships are:
- to enable associations to pass on extra benefits to their members and subscribers where they are interested in using networks
- to use the associations' existing communication channels to maintain awareness of the Forum's activities and services
- to explore ways in which the associations themselves can communicate with, and provide services to, their members using networks.

The Association agrees to affiliate to the Network Users' Forum under the terms set out below.
Where the Association sends regular mailings to its members, the Association agrees to include latest information about the Forum in three mailings during the year.
Where the Association holds meetings for its members, the Association agrees either to involve the Forum in at least one of these meetings during the year, or to collaborate with the Forum in running at least one separate meeting during the year.
In return, the Network Users' Forum agrees, when fifty* or more of the Association’s members have joined the Forum, to provide online services – such as email discussion list support - to the Association free of charge for at least one year.
The Forum will also provide the Association with names of its members who have taken out subscriptions to the Forum twice a year.
